Dr. Emmanuel Attah Ubuoh, is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology (EMT) of the College of Natural Resources and Environmental Management (CNREM), Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU), Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria, where he is currently handling undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the department. He obtained his B.Sc. Geography and M.Sc. Environmental and Resources Planning (ERP) from the University of Jos (UNIJOS) and PhD in Environmental Management (UNN) 2012. He started his career with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the Federal Department of Agricultural Land Resources (FDALR) Abuja as Land Resources Officer II on 26th November, 1992. He was later transferred to the Federal College of Land Resources Technology, Owerri and rose to the rank of a Principal Lecturer in 2011, where he mounted National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) and became a pioneer Head of Department of Environmental Management Technology (EMT) where he graduated final year Students in Environmental Management Technology.   Dr. Ubuoh was the best PhD student in the Department of Geography, University of Nigeria, and Nsukka in 2012 where he contested for the best PhD in the Faculty of Social Sciences, in 2012. He has taught several postgraduate courses and successfully supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University. He is a member of professional bodies among which are Environmental Management Association of Nigeria (EMAN), Association of Nigerian Geographers (ANG), Associate Fellow – Institute of Industrial Administration (FIIA) and International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS).   He is a member of the editorial board of Journal of Ecology & Natural Resources (JENR), Journal of Basic and Environmental Science (JBES), Journal of Environmental Sciences and Policy Evaluation (ISDRC) and Chief Editor- FECOLART SPECTRUM. He is a recipient of awards to include: Educational Leadership Award by Institute of Industrial   Administration (FIIA), Merit Award by Nigeria Association of Computer Science Students, FECOLART, Owerri.  His research interests include Environmental Quality Assessment, with emphasis on soil, air, water, noise, solid waste management and regional development and planning.  Based on environmental quality, he has published over 45 empirical and scientific articles in local and international peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and technical reports. He attended seminars and conferences among which are minimizing of dioxin emission from open burning sources in Nigeria sponsored by FME / UNDP, Abuja, mastering the essentials of project management organized by Crown Agents in Accra, Ghana. He has also served as  resource person on  baseline Survey Enumerators Training Workshop organized by NEWMAP,  Abia State,  and presented paper on  Micro-Watershed Approach: A Panacea For Sustainable Erosion Control in Abia State”  organized by NEWMAP, GEF, World Bank  and  SCEF respectively, and a “Key Note”  speaker   during 2014 World Environment Day Celebration, FUTO, Dr. Emmanuel Ubuoh Attah is an Environmental Consultant and has been consulted widely on environmental issues for solutions.
