Since its establishment, CNREM has had a remarkable track record in providing sound education and training of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students in sustainable natural resource use and environmental management. Also, similar strides have been achieved in researches and services to our communities.
CNREM’s leadership role in natural resources and environmental management has been demonstrated through the quality of graduates and research outputs over the years. The team of dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff enjoy recognition in their various fields and are actively participating in national and international activities where they make valuable contributions. The information on this platform provide brief exposure to the resources available in the College. I believe the exposure will make an entertaining reading and will be sufficiently appealing and encourage you to have a fruitful engagement with us.
Philosophy
The College of Natural Resources and Environmental Management (CNREM) is an academic hub that aims to educate students and prepare them to tackle complex environmental issues, while also promoting sustainable practices that are beneficial to both current and future generations. The focus is on managing and conserving terrestrial and aquatic resources, while also addressing concerns related to soil, water, air, plastic pollution, climate change, and other environmental damage via innovative research and pragmatic applications. The College collaborates with local communities and stakeholders to tackle environmental challenges and enhance rural livelihoods via sustainable use of natural resources.
