Okafor Angela Tochukwu is an Environmental Manager with special interest in Environmental pollution studies and an Academic Staff in the Department of Environmental Management and Toxicology. She is an alumnus of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia State. She obtained her Bachelor of Forestry and Environmental Management, a B.FOREM in Forestry and Environmental Management, her MSc in Forestry and Environmental Management with specialization in Environmental Management from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia State (MOUAU). She is currectly carrying out research for her PhD Programme in Environmental Management at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Ogun State (FUNAAB).
As an erudite scholar, she has a great wealth of research experience which culminated into several academic publications both International, National journals and conference proceedings. She has attended various conferences and training workshops. She teaches and supervises undergraduate courses in the College of Natural and Environmental Management. Apart from teaching, she had served the University administratively as Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) College Coordinator.
Her interest lies in finding more sustainable ways to live in harmony with our environment particularly through sustainable environmental management, pollution control and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions. Her current research is focused on air quality, monitoring and public health. She is a member of the following professional bodies; Nigerian Environmental Society (NES); Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD).
