Name: Dr. Kingsley Chukwuemeka KANU
Rank: Senior Lecturer
Qualifications: Bachelor Environmental Management and Toxicology (FUNNAB),
MSc., Ph.D. Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management (UNILAG)
Areas of Strength and Research interests:
He has research interests in environmental toxicology, ecological risk assessment and
remediation of environmental pollution. He is keen to explore the use of ‘omics’
techniques to investigate the mechanism of action of various environmental pollutants
in biological systems to identify novel biomarkers for environmental monitoring of
pollutants. Ecotoxicogenomics combined with climate change opens up unique
opportunities to explore how environmental stressors and genetic responses interact in
shifting ecosystems.
