Kanu Kingsley is a Lecturer II in the Department of Environmental Management & Toxicology, College of Natural Resources and Environmental Management (CNREM) of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Abia State. He holds a proficiency certificate in management from the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), General Certificate in Health Safety and Environment from Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals (NISP), Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management and Toxicology from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management (Distinction) from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and a Ph.D. (in view) in Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Kingsley is a member of the West African Society of Toxicology (WASOT), Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) and Emergency, Crisis & Disaster Risk Management Institute (ECRMI). As an early career researcher, he has a research interest in environmental toxicology, ecological risk assessment and remediation of environmental pollution. He is keen to explore the use of ‘omics’ techniques to investigate the mechanism of action of various environmental pollutants with a view to identifying novel biomarkers for environmental monitoring.
