Kanu, Chidozie is an Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Management & Toxicology, College of Natural Resources and Environmental Management (CNREM) of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Abia State. He was the Best Graduating Student of the College of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of MOUAU (2011/2012 Academic Session) with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) and has an MSc in Environmental Management and Toxicology. Chidozie represented the CNREM students’ of MOUAU in the Students’ Representatives Council (SRC) of the Students Union Government in the 2008/2009 Academic Session as the Clerk and later served meritoriously as the Secretary-General of the Student Union Government in the 2010/2011 academic session. He also participated in 2008 and 2011 Nigerian Universities Games Association (NUGA) as MOUAU Table-Tennis Contingent in University of Nigeria, Nsukka and University of Benin respectively. During his National Youth Service (NYSC) programme, he served as the coordinator of the Ebukuma Community Development Service group in Andoni LGA, Rivers State, where he was able to create environmental sensitization to the community. He has attended some academic/leadership conferences and workshops here in Nigeria. He has carried out some researches in his area of specialization. Chidozie is a Member of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES). He has interest in Remote Sensing and GIS in Environmental studies among other research areas and looks forward to the challenges that await him in furtherance of his Postgraduate programs.
